In the seventies, a man named Himan Brown attempted to revive radio drama in the United States with a show called “CBS Radio Mystery Theater”. The show was a big success. Both with fans who remembered the golden age of radio, and young people who were new to radio drama. It didn't CBS-RMT, as fans call it, was clearly an attempt to imitate old time radio shows like “Suspense”, “Inner Sanctum”, “Lights Out”, “The Whistler”, “Mysterious Traveler”, and so on.
